Guest ponyshoes
rand?
Gingerbas
A rand is basically a mock welt that goes between the upper and outer sole/heel. Some call it a rand others a mock welt. A welt is a piecie of leather skived and channelled and stitched thru upper and insole, then a leather sole stitched onto this (Goodyear). All rands/mock welts are glued on. Hope this helps. Elfman Algeo's are looking into it, as they say more people are asking for it. I only need enuff to do one pair of orthopeadic boots. Patient wants Doc Marten style boots. We aim to please! Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Give Lawman a try. (Higham Ferrers Northants he is a member) may be able to put you on the right track if he has not got the stuff, but be prepared for a minimum order that could be large. Gingerbas
The Sherriff has sorted it. The milky bars are on me! Cheers Hugh!
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Pleasure, but technically it is not a "Rand" it is a Welt and is Stitched on, although if it is just fixed with Adhesive it could be classed as a Rand.
