red or dead screw in heels

Recommended Posts

If all else fails you can use the following method on most screw in heel tubes:

Get a wood peg roughly the same thickness as the internal diameter of your heel tube. Soak it in water for a few mins then drop a dab of superglue in the tube and around the sides of the peg before knocking it in. If you then drill a hole through the peg about half the size of the attaching pin you should be able to knock a regular PU top in which will stay there with no problems.

Obviously, don't use this method on very thin heels as you risk splitting the heel.

Rick.
