chas47
Hi everyone, I am new here and would really appreciate some advise on buying an engraving machine. I am considering a couple of machines at the moment that will be suitable for engraving small gift items...the Gravograph M20 and also the U-Marq GEM-RX4. Budget is also a consideration and both are in my price range at the moment. Any experiences or advise on these machines would be appreciate, Many thanks. chas47
Thanks for the reply Andy. Can I ask if you have found it reliable and are U-Marq OK to deal with back up, that sort of thing. Regards Charlie.

Lee
I would have thought both machines are OK, but the biggest consideration I would have would be software. this is the one of the biggest components to any machine. most of us here have used the gravograph 98 but how does Gravographs G5 compare to U-Marqs release 8? you can try out U-marqs software from this link http://www.u-marq.com/products/software/software.php Let us know what you decide & how you get on & welcome to the forum chas47. chas47
Thanks for the welcome Lee. I have already looked at the U-Marq software and it looks OK to use, not seen anything on the M20 software as yet. I hope to have demos on these machines soon and will let you know how I go on with them. Charlie.
Pussycat Doll
I am probably in the minority here but we purchased the Roland MPX80 last year and am very pleased with it. We have made our money back on the machine already and are looking now to invest in something a little bit bigger.
Alan
Hi Charlie I purchased from U-marq last year, superb product, no problems with breakdowns, any questions I have had re- software I have been patiently talked through over the phone, the only thing I would say is stretch your budget to breaking point it is amazing how much work you will turn down if you don't.
