Guest Earl Gray Posted August 7, 2008 Report Share Posted August 7, 2008 I need a replacment thread retaining spring for my singer 29k58 ( the blue metal spring about 3" long above the needle in the cylinder arm ). Since when have Shuttle springs been 3" long By the way,Earl Grey, when you take off the tension spring check that there is not a groove worn behind where the spring sits on the needle bar as this will make a new spring inefective.
