Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
My 1st Sandwich/Tea bag and toolcase was one of these in tan, although the case broke up 40 years ago I still have the dark brown handle, now stained black in use on a Joiners wooden tool box although it dont get used very often it is still in good condition. keithm
I thought they were part of the 'Samsonite' group? Just a cheaper version, but I could be wrong Keith
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
In the early 50s carrying on till the early 60s there was 2 methods of carrying your lunch to work, 1st was an ex army issue gas mask bag and the 2nd was one of those fibre board cases. It was a staus symbol to use one of the cases. We used to have a good trade renewing the corners. One of the 1st engineers I ever met from WHB carried his tools in one of those and it was so heavy I think it eventually gave him a heart attack.
