k4mrc
watch for these - cool keys sks the top come unstuck! not just one or two, there seems to be a problem with the whole batch i had. and i know tel200 has had the same problem. sks have been brilliant to me - took them back, so no problem there - but i didn't have them long and one or two customers brought them back "complaining" i cut them another thinking nothing about it but had 2 more back.. alarm bells started to ring and on a chance conversation with tel realised it was a bigger problem, the rep called today and has taken them - when we were baggin them up we noticed it was happening to loads of them, thing is we all charge a premium for these types of key so be warned check em! Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
There are times when you spend a fortune in developing a product and get the manufacturer to make samples, do all the testing then put in the big order only to find that the supplied item does not have the same quality as the samples. (typical Chinese working practices)(not saying though that the products were made in china).
SKS_User
Well all the heads for these were manufactured about 10ft in front of me (as usual, the metal parts come from sunny Spain) and the company that supplies the resin and vinyl is UK based to boot Still, we believe that only a very small portion of the keys are affected and the current theory is that the ones that have failed have done so because they were exposed to damp conditions (damned English summers!!) during the drying stages, prior to the dome being applied. As John has stated, anyone who gets a problem with these should contact us ASAP so we can sort it for you.
k4mrc
i must say that i was impressed on how you handled my situation, took em back straight away no messing 10 out of 10! i actually had a customer screaming her head off because it hadn't lasted more than 24 hours - the reason it was put on the forum was to educate our members so not to have customers unhappy due to no fault of there own. Again sorry for the problem you had with this batch - but just to confirm we have had no more complaints about the cool keys - and the new ones with "Customers own information " on them are really taking of now. Also Mine is still perfect to sitting on my key / keyring
