alxfer
I had a customer in who said that there was a web site on which you can find out the date of Singer patchers. You just type in the model and serial number. Anyone know of this?
petercoulson
http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com ... page7.html this may be of limited help, i am of the understanding that the bit after 29K is a rough guide to manufacture year so 29K71 is approx 1971. not accurate but close enough
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
I have a 29k71 manufactured in 1966. 29K71 29K73 refer to short arm machines and are model numbers not year of manufacture numbers. 29K72 in the number for a long arm patcher of the same period. If anyone is interested I have a contact that has developed a new drive system. a straigh through drive rather than an osilating one and cuts out all the problems associated with timing. The idea has been patented but he is looking for a european installer and agent. PM if you want the details, (Machinery or Wholesaler companies only please). Corlas
Hola, I was looking the lists and I understand nothing... Can I know something about my machine? Can I get the manual? My machine is a Singer 29k54 Serial number--> Y-1649689. Thanks and health!
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
The information is on the forum under downloads at the top of the page corlas. The type of machine is a 29K the number after is the model number. Very little difference between them. The main difference is that on the older models the "Arm" is solid. On the newer models the "Arm" is able to be split in two for servicing. You can download both manuals.
