Cagiva4ever
Hi ! all This is a Pre-post story, i have more info to paste later (measurement drawings and photos) Im looking for a kind and helpful person(s) to de-cypher my Lost ignition key's code (3-digits). In my Country no locksmith has been able to find the needed data for Key cutting from Blank, but that seems to be due lack of interest and no experience from 2wheel industry. In my country all seem to care only about fast and easy money, like cutting Corolla and household key's.. i got my scooter-moped as a Heritage given to me, and it didnt come with its key. im planning to get it "Vintage Status" MOT'd declared, which alloows it to be very cheap on road insurance etc laws, hence my national gov MOT requires it to be factory original, to achive Vintage status and its benefits. My scooter-moped is brand/model : "Hero Puch Winner". 50cc/75cc 2-stroke Made in India during 1999~2005. Factory/corporation: Hero Puch , Majestic Auto Limited (MAL) , india. This is also made under licence in italy byt Malaguti (model: Centro 50cc 2T) but it has some different parts and specs like Ignition lock from ViCMA brand. "Hero Puch Winner" has India made ignition/lock set from Brand: "Minda" , Spark Minda/Minda. Minda is in a collaboration with italian SiLCA. (1 same key into all 3 locks: ignition, fuelcap and trunk lock). My specific MiNDA ignition lock has a individual CODE (3-digits) stamped onto it which is the CODE to Cut the blank key, so to speak, people here know what im saying. My Specific CODE is "866" at Stamped onto ignition barrel and same code stamped at the LOST KEY. in total i have 3 ignition locks (spares) for my mentioned Scooter-moped, but the Full lock set is the one that is missing the Masterkey, which is the problem. my 2 other spare ignition locks have their own individual specific codes (3-digits) stamped onto them (ign barrels and OEM original keys, all Minda india made.) if this has any help to Decoding as a reference...as i have made an Measurement drawings from them, where locations and each step between cut is verifyed in mm millimetres. In my country this moped was kinda Grey imported, we never had a proper Dealer network for it. From past i have found 1 single comment where is stated that when Cutting a Key -"a suitable Blank un-cut key is "Lotus sz12" . Anyway my reference photos from my other key's with their measurements will help, i shall post them later if i find helpfull person(s) from here, please. Im a mc moped mechanic etc related collector. im used to Dismantling and modifying ign-lock barrels, taking cylinder(s) out from LockBody's, BUT on this piticular moped it cannot be done without too much damage, and it would hurt the Vintage MOT situation. Bye:) m Edited January 28 by Cagiva4ever more details added.
