Dannymac
Hello all. I have recently acquired a Puritan machine. Unfortunately it didn't come with instructions and available literature seems to be limited to part identification... Does anyone happen to know if you can use something other than liquid wax as a thread lubricant on these chainstitch machines? It is difficult to locate liquid thread wax in Australia. I thought molten beeswax or chain bar oil might be worth trying. Or maybe Paraffin oil? One more question while on the topic - I understand that linen thread knots better than synthetic alternatives - but does thread twist direction make a difference for chainstitch machines? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
