GLENGRAVING
Hullo I've recently started using the pre-lacquered brass plates then applying blacking fluid (my new laser engraver makes quick work of them compared to deeply engraving with the is200) I see the spec sheet says it's for indoor use, unless you add a varnish after engraving. (gravometall from MrFixIt) What product and process would you reccomend for this? I tried a jar of Rustins Metal Lacquer on a big plaque I was doing and the finish (brushed) was horrid, so I used thinners to get it off before it cured. What's the better option? How necessary do you think it is to add more lacquer after blacking the letters? Cheers Edited December 2, 2024 by GLENGRAVING
