gasket999
Hi folks. In the disposable world I try to refuse as many well-made products as possible: I've just restored a victorian house replacing all its original features by buying reclaimed items and refurbishing them - for a fraction of the cost of using new fittings from B&Q. I drive a 30 year old Land Rover that I rebuilt from the ground up and my workshop is made up of engineering, automotive and carpentry tools that I've bought and restored to give another 100 years of use. After buying a pair of boots from a high street retailer which promptly failed after a few months, I'm turning my attention to my shoe collection. I'd like to learn more about the practice and find a local tradesman that can maintain my shoes and boots to a good level of repair. Looks like I can learn a to from this board.
