renault truecode

I've just bought a key scan! I've done a vw golf no problem. But I have a Renault kangoo as my own van, I thought I would try programming a extra key just to get a feel for the machine, i can't get a key to program! Basically it seems i can't get passed the security to program a extra key! I've got a pin code but I don't get ask for it at any point, I've called sp support but I didn't really get a answer as to why it won't do it!told me to try kangoo,kangoo 2(which I think is the right setting as it tells me how many keys are programmed) and to try Clio ph2! It's a 53plate van! Any ideas? Is it just a Renault thing I'm going to come up against? Would true code do it?

 

ij have no experience of the keyscan ,so cannot comment on that . however i have done more than 20 kangoo with truecode .no issues ,keys go straight in

 

The only time I've ever had a failure, is when the battery voltage has been very low, fortunately not that often.
