I had the same query at roughly the same time you had it.

 

Maybe it was the same client? Mine came from near East Kilbride. She told me she'd solved her problem, and when I asked how, she wrote:

 

couldn't find a make on the safe, we just ended up breaking into it!

 

On a different note: We recently opened a safe of that type with a single tap with a hammer.

 

£100 was the bill: £5 for the tap, £95 for knowing where to tap.

Thanks for that but I picked it OK and believe I may have the key number but not the blank, if I can tie the two together may save fitting new lock..
