Phil Morland
Hi folks, Looking to buy a track/dimple key machine this month and have (I think) narrowed it down to Silca Matrix SX or SLX. I wondered if anybody has experience of either of these machines and if they could recommend them. I can get a good deal on the SX but not so much on the SLX, but I do want a good, reliable and accurate manual copy machine, so which one to go for? The SLX will cost £1K more than the SX. Thanks in advance, Phil.
avonsecurity
Hi Phil, I have an SX and Its pretty good, I think the only difference with the SLX is it has a 2 speed motor, not sure why you would want that. Rgds Jim
Phil Morland
Thanks Jim. I think the differences are single or twin speed as you say, also with the SLX it is supposed to be very easy and quick to change the cutters and tracers. How do you find the SX for this, fiddley or easy? Also, I think I'm right but just checking, both machines cut angled cuts with swiveling jaws, right? Phil.
