goodyearwelted
Hi, I have 10 years experience in working with leather and Eva only and have now started repairing rubber, PVC etc. I use ortec for leather and Eva and ortec with a renia PVC and PU primer for everything else this is working effective on certain shoes but not all. I've repaired around 200 pairs so far and had 4 complaints. Is this bad? I've also gave some shoes to other cobblers and managed to peal off the soles. Can anyone share there experience with me on what Adhesives and Primers are working best.
Lee
2% isn't good! I don't think I've had 4 back this year! let alone in 200 pairs. What glue to use is very much individual shoe based. My advice would be to speak to Renia (whats the name of that chap who always does the cuttingedge show?) they will advice which of their glues & primers work best on various materials Lee
Gingerbas
For PVC I use PTA No.3, never had a problem never.
