hakeemz Posted August 31, 2009 Report Share Posted August 31, 2009 new to engraving but enjoying it hugely..have a gravograph txl,,been practicing on anything i can lay my hands on from watches to mobiles and any flat surface item i can find ,, anyway got asked for a bench plaque which i didnt have in stock, looked up the forum and it came under infill topic was wondering how to get the engraved area inside each letter wide as it looks on here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=670&p=5782&hilit=bench+plaque#p5782 i have a good selection of letters that came with the machine,, obviously one done by planet uk is done on is200 or 400 but tx-l ? i am assuming wider cutter is that right? also best place to buy engraving material such as brass plates and plaques in small quantity? thanks in advance by the way did mobile phone back as well with good results but turned ipod down in fear of crushing in the jaws ??? ANDY Posted September 1, 2009 Report Share Posted September 1, 2009 yes you can engrave infilled letters on a manual machine assuming you are using a multi lined type and bits of the letters are missing a wider cutter will take care of that glenway sell brass plaques in loads of sizes from 2" x 5/8" all the way up to 12 " x 9.5" as for your ipods and such. i have cut out a couple of strips of rubberised mouse mat and stuck them to the inside of my vice. works a treat on the pods you can also cut down the little rubber tops that come with a new diamond into 4 tiny tubes. these fit perfectly onto the pegs on your vice Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
