Guest Marks world
Hello everyone, i have a gravograph IM3 i am getting on ok but for one thing; i do trophy plates for my girlfriends paintings, i get everything set as it should be then when i have finished the engraving looks to be at a slight angle to the edge of the plate, does anyone know a foolproof way of making sure the engraving is nice and level ? Dont suggest an IM4 i can't afford one! LOL

ANDY
yea i would say that your slide needs straightening up. or your ratio is slightly out (don't take much to affect it) if you set your machine on its largest ratio then slide your stylus from one end to other scratching a bit of scrap right through the centre, then flip it and do again, this will double up your error and also tell you what way to knock it if you use a large ratio to set this up any minor squiff will be reduced the smaller you engrave
