SKS_User
It's usually straight forward process to disconnect the battery (usual way to check if it's a flat battery causing problems) though I've not had to remove from from the unit entirely. Lee
I have just changed the battery in my Silca RW2, which is simple as follows. 1. Turn the unit over and remove the rubber feet 1. 2. Unscrew A. B. C. & D. screws from under feet. 3. Open case 4. Remove terminals F. & G. 5. Unscrew retaining bracket E. 6. Fit new battery 7. Re-assemble in reverse order! I got the battery of the net at this address http://www.firesafetywarehouse.co.uk/12vx21ahfirealarmbattery-1705.php?products_id=1705 the only other thing I did, was to engrave a trophy plate which I then stuck in the unit with original battery specifications, date replaced, and the details of where I got the replacement.
