Thanks for the replies. It is running, but I,m not in a position to say how well, as I dont have any thread for it, or indeed good info on the method of threading the machine. I ran a piece of leather through it, and it appears to feed in the leather without skipping a beat, and the needle forms a stitch at regular distance. So at a first glance it seems to be working. But of course until its threaded properly, I wont know for sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. So as a complete novice to shoemaking at the moment, I,m all ears. Thanks.

I,ve just been lucky enough to capture a frobana from going to the scrapman. It seeems to be running well, as I have tried some leather through it, and it appears to be giving a good unbroken stitch pattern. But as I have no thread for it, and am unsure about threading the machine, I,m unable to say whether its fit for purpose or not. As complete novice to shoemaking, soon to be taught by a uk shoemaker though, I,m wondering where could I get any info on the threading, parts ect for it. thankyou

Hi, I have recently rescued a machine stitcher labelled Frabano. Can some one point me in the right direction to find out more about this machine. thankyou. I have some pictures, but I am unsure as to how to post them.
