D-Power Posted January 20, 2009 Report Share Posted January 20, 2009 There are some news about RW4 SW update vers. 01.00.042 NEW ITEMS INTRODUCED WITH THE UPDATE: New identification • ID (4M) PHILIPS CRYPTO MITSUBISHI-VOLVO Starting from this version RW4 identifies Philips Crypto transponders used on some of the Mitsubishi and Volvo models produced between 1998 and 2005 ca. with ID (4M). Such transponders were previously identified with ID (44). RW4 is also able to tell whether the key has ever been memorized in a vehicle, showing a message according to the situation: TRANS. CR MITS/VOLVO CAN NOT DUPLICATE 4M If the key has already been used on a vehicle, or: TRANS. CR MITS/VOLVO BLANK 4M If the key has never been used on a vehicle. The models that use the transponder Philips Crypto ID (4M) are the followings: MITSUBISHI Carisma 2000 2004 Space Star 1999 2005 VOLVO C70 1998 2000 S40 1998 2004 S70 1998 2000 S80 1998 1999 V40 1998 2004 V70 1998 2000 New keys with new T30 Mits/Volvo transponder are available to be added trought diagnostic devices on vehicles listed above. TRANSPONDER COPY • ID (45) PHILIPS CRYPTO PEUGEOT All Philips Crypto ID 45 transponders (see list) can be copied onto the new transponder T29. PEUGEOT 206 1998 2001 PEUGEOT 206 Cabrio 2001 2002 PEUGEOT 406 1999 2002 NOTE: with this update the “COPY ID†function for Philips Crypto (45) transponders will no longer be usable (see chapter Transponder Philips Crypto in the RW4 user’s manual). Calculating the PINCODE • From ID (45) PHILIPS CRYPTO PEUGEOT keys starting from this version RW4 can calculate from a working key on the vehicle a PIN CODE valid for accessing the functions in the ECU unit of Peugeot vehicles that use Philips Crypto ID (45) keys. For further details consult the RW4 user’s manual. The new T29 ID=45 Peugeot transponder can be used also to program new key with diagnostics device. __________________________________________ This update is free of charge, and no external modules were necessary for this function, please contact your reseller/distributor to get more information and to get the upgrade. The upgrade is also available via the Silca Remote Service (SRS).
