Thanks There will be a build up of swarf (metal chippings) under the jaws, time to unwind the jaws fully to clean them with a brush, reassemble back together and then it will tighten much more securely cobblers.keys

kobblers
Thanks, but I've already been through all of that with Keyline, themselves, and nothing they suggested worked, after literally hours of trying. I've never been able to register or update my machine, and the amount of issues I have with it not cutting keys or miscutting keys is crazy. E.G.: It told me that I have to hold Silca LF45r in the A jaw, and wouldn't let me choose the C jaw, as I was concerned that the lip was too flimsy on the blank to hold in when cutting deep cuts. My concern was correct as the key I first tried shot out of the jaw, even though I'd clamped it well enough, and broke some teeth off my cutter, which meant I had to spend a small fortune on a new cutter. I now have to cut LF45r keys by cutting all of the number 3 depths as number 2 depths, first, and then recutting them as 3s. This is a pain in the backside when I'm busy or have a few to cut. This is just one of a few issues. Add to that, the totally rubbish hinge connection part, which activates the safety micro-switches, which fractured on one side, and then the other after about 2 months of use. Luckliy, I managed to repair it with duct tape, glue and some thicker acrylic pieces, as I wasn't about to fork out for another shield, knowing it would probably do the same. Someone else on here made reference to this issue in another post: "The machine is in excellent condition with no cracks in the screen around the 2 side attachment points ( common fault )" This needs sorting for the price of the machines, and subsequent replacement shields. I would've taken it to Phil at Keyline in Trafford Park, to get it all sorted, but it seems Keyline isn't there, anymore, as sending it away for more than a few days would cost me a lot in lost revenue. Technical Tony Davenport
I know this is not the answers to all - but idea to look at . Reference the LF45R, ideas to look at , you can slow the cutting down also make sure the correct material is chosen , may users leave this on default see below you should be able to also change the jaw side to hold the key - but some of the choices may be no good ( be aware ) The Screens - I do see these damaged as mentioned, Keyline always recommend to use both hands opening and closing and using the side dimples at the front to move these shields - I've done the wrong thing many times in haste and used one hand / side and lowered the screens to fast, i think the ninja total machines have had dampers fitted so if the screen gets dropped then this helps stop the cracking . Sadly as the post header we can only accept the machine sent in to us (No on site visits) for help ... but we can always try and help over the phone - Images / Videos / Whats app - etc .....
