Disability scooter keys

Hi All

We cut a few scooter keys but of late we seem to be having issues with the 7301 key which we cut on ALP4R Silca , customer reports are that the blanks are too thick and keys don’t go in.Has anyone had similar issues and used a different blank manufacture maybe ?

I stopped cutting the 7301 keys as there seems to be varaiations in some of them.

You could try Dat 7.

Yep, couple of weeks back before i went on holiday. Customer brought the scooter to us, we used ALP9R

I've had the same recently, didn't realise there are 2  different ALP keys. They must have changed the barrell to fit the other blank as referenced by Graham above.

For future information/reference 

Customer came in with his disability scooter today for a spare key, his original key had this code on it 7301..tried all usual key blanks none of them were going in the barrel, even Silca ALP4R. Tried JMA ALP1D ( supposed to be ALP4R equivalent) it did go in, cut one and tried it, it didn't work.  Tried customer key and noticed it was going in far down the barrel.  Trimmed the sides of the JMA key , it did go in and worked perfectly.
