This is not going to be unusual going forward.

Lock manufacturers have seen a market opportunity to sell the code sets direct to customers willing to pay to be able to cut specific keys to code.

In future as well as paying for Silca/Instacode software and updates you will have to buy code sets from manufacturers for each set you wish to cut.

That is why big companies like Fastkeys can do them but not many others, would you be prepared to pay say £200-500 per set of codes ?.

I am just suprised it has taken the lock manufacturers this long to realise they can milk us even further.
