Remote tester question

I have had both VW Touareg and Bmw x4 fobs in today requiring new batteries but when I put them on the xhorse remote tester neither bleeped to show signal? Any idea why because the other fobs today have all bleeped as normal?. Neither came back saying that they don't work etc.

Seems you purchased the USA model with no 868Mhz function

If it’s a xhorse tester then there’s a jumper In the back across two terminals to enable 868 testing. The jumper tends to fall off if ever dropped etc. open it up and you’ll see what I mean. Stick it back on and test with and 868 remote

I know Terry. I was stating if it’s a xhorse tester then what I mentioned only happens with them and not other brands

Highly unlikely mate. One of mine stopped detecting 868 and it was the jumper as I said above.

I bought this tester from 3D and it wouldn't detect 868mhz so I took it apart to see if I could find anything and noticed the jumper.

All good now.
