NYKeys
Anyone recognise this Yale security key? Passed through none of the Yale security keyways on our gauge Thanks
kobblers
Have you tried any of the pass keys? JMA YA14i looks very close, as does SILCA YA2r. Rick.
nxasdf
Alright, so this is their N series keyways (NA to NK) that was set aside for the U.S. Secret Service but ended up in various industrial settings around the U.K somehow. They're common in old master-keyed settings now. Genuine blanks are no longer a thing. The best suitor to fit it is JMA's YA-15I. Yale's own depth and space specification for the N section does not match anything Yale currently use, it doesn't belong to their 0.015", 0.019", 0.025" or their metric specifications. Nothing on InstaCode will match it so don't waste your time decoding it. Because of this, you will notice JMA YA-15I is actually a tiny bit shorter than the genuine Yale key (they all are) but the JMA will just about fit 6 pins using a basic key duplicator. It's the best you'll get. Your genuine key will not fit in a gauge because it's warded. Yale key gauges assume you're testing pass sections which you don't have there. exp121260, NYKeys and kobblers 2

I thought all those various keyways like YNCF were the keys end users would have had on the keyrings. Didn't know they were the pass keys. Thank you for this interesting and informative post.
