U-marq help from Mark

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Mark for your help re-installing my Gem-CX4 software after my laptop crashed over the weekend losing all of the installation files including the usb/serial adaptor drivers.

No sooner emailed this morning than he replied with the requested software and installation instructions on our new shiny windows 11 desktop PC!!

Thanks Mark and Emma for all of your support through the current situation.

Andy

Hi Andy.

Just wondering how you finding Vistool on Windows 11? All good?

My Engraver is connected to my Desktop gaming rig which I'm hoping to change shortly as its showing it age (used daily for 12+ years)...the new one might end up with Windows 11 which I'm very wary of with regards to the engravers and associated software.

Kind Regards,

John

Just a stab in  the dark but can anyone help me figure out how to install the flatbed on my CX5?

Depends on how far you have got? Have you installed the correct software and struggling to set a flat bed job up or not installed anything yet?

Or call Mark at UMarq, he will sort you out in no time.

To centre the rule
Make sure the vice is in its central position meaning the cutter is directly in the centre of the vice in and out and left to right , send the machine  home , put the flat bed on and drop the diamond cutter on to the flatbed , move the diamond cutter in the right direction to score the bed , do the same in the y , once scored in the x and y line the rule up to the diamond score lines ..

It would appear that U-Marq is going out of business or just doesn't care about it's customers.  I have tried to talk to someone and all I've gotten is emails with a few tips but no one will contact me by phone or video chat.  They have no problem taking your money, but after that you're pretty much on your own.  In the past  I could get someone on the phone but apparently not anymore.  $16,000.00 for an engraver and I can't get decent customer service.  I regret purchasing from U-Marq...  A product is ONLY as good as it's support.  Sad...

Are you talking about U-Marq UK? $16000 makes me think not!

This is a UK based Forum so you'll get little joy bemoaning U-Marq USA here i'm afraid.

If you are UK based the contact Mark direct at U-Marq UK here:

Contact Us (u-marq.com)

From experience you'll struggle to find anyone more helpful than Mark and definitely no-one more knowledgable on U-Marq machines and software.
