What is my machine - CEA York

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I just found your forum and you all sound very knowledgeable so I thought I'd give you a go. Firstly, I apologise if this content isn't allowed on here. I'm sure someone will let me know if not.

I recently bought a job lot of tools and machines at auction, mainly for the Unimat Lathe that I needed for work. Included in the lot was a couple of key cutting machines, one being a "CEA York". I have trawled the internet trying to find information on this machine but cannot find one the same. If anyone knows anything about it, I would be grateful for your knowledge. I am trying to sell it but I have been asked if it cuts mortice keys and I have no idea.

Again, apologies if I am out of line asking on here, but thank you in advance for your time.

Kind regards,

Terri.

Maybe Frank Drebben had been using it !!.

Reminded me of this clip from Police Squad from many years ago with all the keys in the ceiling.

I love that, Police Squad , Airplane, Naked Gun. Naked Gun 2.1/2. Naked Gun 33.1/3. Brilliant writing. My sense of humour.

Not bad little machines. That looks a smaller version of my CEA Naty I've had for years. Cut thousands of keys on it.
