Cockneycobbler
Hey all, I’m working in the quieter of year for repairs. But I can’t wait till September (when it picks up). So I’m looking for ideas to boost business. I’ve thought of going round to estate agents and maybe doing a key cutting deal? And running a shoe repair collect and drop service (not online, we do this already) around the area! Any ideas would be grateful.
Count Muppet
Keep posting on Facebook and get your family and friends to like and share as much as possible. I noticed earlier that you have no followers on Twitter, I assume it was you anyway (@cshoerepairs). Maybe engage in local goings on a little more and tag other local businesses when you post anything. I noticed you on Twitter earlier when you commented on something that james Timpson is tagged in Cockneycobbler

Euroleathers 2000
Personally i feel if you are going to use a social media platform I would use Instagram. Twitter has fallen behind other platforms in recent times and has lost engagement and Instagram's engagement is about 10 times higher than Facebook. As Instagram is a photo sharing platform it is a great way for you to show your before and after photos of repairs and most shoes that you would repair will have an instagram and you can tag them and hopefully get them to re-share your photos (we do it when people use our leather) But ideally you want to use both in conjunction with each other but it is easier to use facebook and instagram together as they are owned by the same company! Hopefully this helps a bit
Lee
And for anyone..... STOP posting before & after shots.... Post AFTER & before shots. the picture you see first is the before shot, it doesn't show how good your repairs are, it just shows a worn out shoe. I always post the other way around. k4mrc
