Fit a lot of the Gerda information boxes.

Most recent, no keys in the box. They state four keys with each box & dedicated to each site box, yet Fire Brigade only keep the one so obviously there is a one key fits all master, and the one I saw had no plastic top just ES-E02 9000 marked on the flat metal head.

Once shut, without the key its locked. Fire Brigade generally do not bother with padlocks & crop them off when on a shout out, but the cabinets they need those plans

Gerda keys are patented. Despite key blanks being available, Gerda themselves are always on the hunt to get any unauthorised cut keys removed from anywhere they can find online. The locks and keys can be purchased as ordinary products which you can fit to your own property and are not master-keyed. This is fine.

Gerda reserve a range of bittings for keys for their H System aimed primarily towards the London Fire Brigade. The idea is that each London council would be assigned their own few H numbered locks and keys for different purposes so they can't be used cross-council. The London Fire Brigade will have a grandmaster key for all H numbered locks. It's called the H System because they are usually labelled H1 to H66 and rarely above.

The H System is an opt-in system, not all London councils use it, and some no longer use it because of people like Camil (above) who fuck it up so they change their security entirely because unauthorised people steal and vandalise equipment that should've been secure. Some councils continue to use Gerda, but use a different master (similar to the H System but custom to that council).

If you have the means to duplicate these keys and are willing, while I advise against it because it's patented and illegal to modify (by cutting), at least make sure they're not keys used by the council. Wouldn't want any dodgy folk with a master key getting access to my rooftop, water supply, electricity supply, gas supply, maintenance cupboards, lift rooms, etc. and they'll probably give you the same storyline that it's for their job.

On that note, the key originally posted by Cobblers is in fact a council key (despite the fact it's labelled D1, it's still 100% the H System).

This is all long ago ...and really not a new design of key at all . Have heard people say it's like the blockshaft it key L4V use for there ultimate range but it's not as the gerda is a tube Key

ie  Blockshaft for original Gate van lock rebranded as for the slam lock its design Is used elsewhere at a much cheaper price as it's really a cam lock rebranded is it ethical.

Getting back to subject of Gerda key what can I say it's got 4 depth cuts and damned easy to decode by eye.

Ethics of selling master keys is really up to the individual as we supply a service only. The end user is responsible for what is supplied.

Locksmiths sell locks and keys

Gunsmiths sell guns and bullets

To Quote myself

HELASON RFZ 5116 - its in the high security mechanical lock book Pages 114 - 115

Helason 16pin - 4 rows of pins & brass tube key a Austrian made dead latch lock

Very much like the gerda tytan zx wonder where they got the idea or As it been rebranded.
