Any pics of this blade vectis? Sounds interesting

They stopped being produced 30-35 years ago.

The fact i still use mine every single working day tells you how great a machine it was our main machine must have cut well over 1 million keys.

If produced today the cost would be well over 5k.

1 key = 5 mins.=12 per hr =450 per week 22500 per year x 50 years =1125000, Phew thats going some.

Make sure the 3 pin connector is pushed in fully they can come lose if you move the machine on the counter top for cleaning.

Check the fuse as well just under the connector where the lead plugs in at lot of people do not realise it is there.

Download a manual if you do not have one and finally if your still stuck ring Matt @ Silca uk.

One Blade Super mortice key cutting machine for sale on Gumtree if anyone interested !

The Blade super was no where near the same quality as the vectis, they tried to save money on manufacturing but it never really worked as well.

We had one from new but got rid after a few years when i managed to find another Vectis.

These photos are of mine 2 in daily working use and our original machine now in bits as it is used for spares (all manufactured in the early 80's).
