YouTube channels

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone hope you are all doing well. I was just wondering if anyone on here runs their own YouTube channel? I have been doing mine for around 8/9 months and have several videos up of various repairs. Would love to see other people's channels and what they do. If people want to post their channels on this thread we can help to get all our subscribers up. IL leave a couple of links to my latest 2 videos I just uploaded today.

Thanks guys

Good stuff. I watch a lot of youtube, but don't  make videos. Thinking of getting into it down the line, but for the moment the ease of insta is more convenient.

I'm sure corporate are enjoying the free advertisment/content, but have you considered like if hypothetically you channel gains traction and you decide to strike out on your own business venture - would they claim that they own the content produced on their working time?

Not shoe repair related, but my son & I started a YouTube channel & it took some time, but we are now earning a fine coin from it. We managed to produce a few products of our own that we sell via our website, it's not the YouTube revenue that pays but the sales on the back of it. we looked at our videos very commercially from the start not mentioning brand names, covering logos etc until we formulated our own products and packaging. we even renamed the mainstream products we where using so viewers couldn't find them. so for example if we where using Cherry Blossom polish we'd remove the lid and say we are now using "Our" Cobb-lees black wax to polish these.

Over time we got more and more messages to buy what we where using until the time was right to launch the website & remember your viewers trust you and will pay for that trust, its the one area your don't have to compete on so you can charge a much fairer RRP. I've always been a one man band, however with YouTube both my Son and I are expanding !

That's great to hear you've been actively posting on your YouTube channel! It's always exciting to see creators sharing their projects and repairs. I’ve found using an automatic video editor really helps streamline the editing process, especially when juggling multiple clips. It can automatically cut and merge clips based on the action or dialogue, which might be handy for your repair videos to keep them engaging and to the point.
