SKS website search troubles

I can't even get on the website!!

Never had a rep either, in fact, don't get reps from any company at all, haven't done for a few years.

To be honest though, I prefer ordering online then just ring up when I have a problem.

Amazes me.

I do not need to actually see any reps but i get Abus, Aldridges, SKS, Brisant, Phoenix safes, CK tools, Borg, Codelock,Burg that all call in regular as well as other that call maybe once a year.

I took over this business in 1993 and had worked here while at school for 5 years previous to that and only ever remember 2 reps coming, Charles Birch and Marshall Coppin.

The last few years I've only ever seen Dave Lake (Muddy) from Charles Birch, but haven't seen him for probably a year or 2 now!!

May have had an introductory visit from the odd rep from different companies over the years, but no regular visits.

Same people apparently did the Aldridge site.

I was the very first beta tester of the Aldridge website for months before it first went live and any bugs that i  found where sorted promptly and efficiently so why cannot SKS do this.

I have also made many suggestions that are now implemented on the Aldridge website. The search engine was very poor to start with but massive improvements have been made with this.

Nathan - thanks for your reply - but what about the other complaints about pricing raised in this thread? I am surprised there's been no email communication (that I've seen at least) from SKS about this matter and also no banner display prominently across all pages on the website advising customers you're aware of the problem and are (slowly, very slowly) fixing it.

EDIT: Just noticed on the SKS homepage if you try to click the banner relating to the Ring Floodlight it doesn't work. What's going on, guys?! Your website is so important and you guys used to be ahead of the game, not lagging behind?

The search function should be working correctly now.

With regards to prices, we have had a slight increase on many on the locking and hardware products to coincide with our new catalogue but we hadn't had a price increase since March 2018 prior to that.

In terms of the keys, we have removed the price break at 10+ on a lot of the popular cylinder keys but the key prices have actually gone down.

But some of us had all our key prices discounted over and above your net prices. ie a 15p net key cost us 12p with discount. The discount disappeared without notice from anyone at SKS
