k4mrc
as title - fire extinguisher contract Just had the same company that I had used for over 20 years send me a cancellation demand Last year I noticed the 'price increase' which seemed crazy, so i told them to not bother when they wanted to call this year, I just had an email with a demand for a fee for cancelling. over £50 seems in the SMALL PRINT they have even got this covered..... BEWARE every year what you'r signing.

Mike at Vauxhall
I'm sure my landlord would insist on a contract with a reputable company, as they are obsessed with compliance.

I have a rolling principle, I have two extinguishers at home, one indoors & one in the garage & two here at work. If i detonate one or periodically I buy a new one for work (2kg Co2 is under £30) and roll them round do the newest is at work.
Mick Friend
co2 has a weight on the neck Tare and Gross as long as its in a 10% tolerance your fine- others if they are pressurised and the gauge shows pressure there is tap all else to do tap the gauge in case its stuck - I used to service them full time but modern units did not require 6 monthly visits so in the end I was shot in the foot - many will have a end date as well
Flash
To comply with my business insurance I have to have fire extinguishers on the premises, serviced annually, with certificates displayed. 10 hours ago, Lee said: there is no legal requirement to have a fire extinguisher, provided you have a fire risk assessment (which used to be in the downloads, not sure if it still is) and take reasonable steps to minimise the risks of fire you are compliant. While there maybe no legal requirement, insurance companys are getting more and more stringent with their terms and conditions. Whilest p.a.t. may not be a legal requirement my insurance company demand it along with hardwire testing every 5 years. Not a legal requirement but an insurance requirement.
