150mm spindles 7mm diameter

SKS do some which are 8mm, the SP759, but these are a bit podgy for some (especially older) latches.

Any ideas on sources for some which are equally long but not so fat?

I get mine from a local bearing company who i supply and they are usually about £3 a 12" length inc vat i do a lot of work for them so get a good discount.

I keep 5mm,7mm and 8mm on the shelf.

Aldridge’s and Duffells both do 7mm spindles ( 130mm long )

Murpak keep 7.7mm spindles and drilled / tapped spindles for rim lock handles.

SKS MPL682 ? but only 130mm usually long enough for most applications
