pee
Really struggling to cut Winkhaus BS Cylinder keys. Tried silca, jma, HD & genuine, it's hit & miss only about 50% work. I dread cutting these now. What am I doing wrong
simon1
If machine set up is ok and sharp cutter easy job and easy money
Michael
Try clamping them in the machine using the bottom groove rather than the flat back. I always cut UAP keys like this now as they were a bit hit and miss, now get zero returns on them. kobblers
kobblers
We've had a few issues with the UAP keys, too, Michael - Lord knows how as they come from UAP!! That's helpful advice. Cheers! Rick.
darren_glasgow
Any more clarification as to the reason why cutting these is still hit-&-miss?Even with a new cutter and trying both sides of the jaws in our machines,we're still stumped! grahamparker
We do not see many but never had one back of the ones we have cut.

Frustrating. I generally cut on genuine, but also carry jma, silca and hd blanks. I cut the same blank as what ever the customer presents me with. Still have returns. But getting better. No other cylinder blank gives me so much grief. Mike.
Count Muppet
What machine are you cutting them on?
Mike at Vauxhall
Cyclone. I know it's basic, but it's a good Good machine. All other cylinders seem to work a treat.
