This is exactly why my old man has always said he would like to pass the skills he's learnt and taught me onto another young man.

So if anyone knows of a boy in SW London or can get there with ease who'd like to grasp at the opportunity to be trained by my Dad, the best skilled repairer out there (I am biased) with a job at the end of it please let us know.

Where abouts in SW London? These opportunities don't come up very often!

Hi to all you lovely people.

this is my first post, I am desperately looking to train some young fella but all want to learn one thing and not the other plus they want to learn leave to open there own shop and not help me atall,

which is sad.

isn't this what happens to Timpson's and every business? After all someone showed you and trained you then you have opened?

Just spread the wealth and teach them and that should help you in return  with the knowledge you helped one along the way

Morning All !

I have just had another request for training in shoe repairing. The enquiry has come from an independent shoe retailer in the East of England who has several shops and would like to provide an in house repair service. He is also looking to invest in new machinery as well.  Is there anyone in the Lincs/Northants/Cambridge areas that might be interested in offering their services to train a new recruit?.   The enquirer is willing to pay.
