Day Course Itinerary:

Monday Day 1:

Introduction
The first day of the 8 day auto locksmith course is a solely theory based day covering all the reference materials given to attendees throughout the course, which you can also refer to afterwards when faced with a specific situation on your daily work. The references include Keyline reference book, Genuine Lishi training manual, transponder handout, Genuine Lishi app, KeyDIY key blades, pod keys and horseshoe keys. Throughout the day you will be given a range of different KeyDIY blades, key pods and horseshoe keys and, by using the reference materials, you will learn how to identify the make and model they apply to. You will then use our range of training vehicles and learn how to identify which blade and which transponder corresponds to each vehicle. The first day of the course will end with a Test, which will be used to ensure that you are comfortable navigating the resource material.

 

Tuesday and Wednesday Days 2 and 3:

Module 1: Basic Auto Entry
The 2 day basic auto entry course is designed to give insight into basic auto entry using a number of different techniques. This includes stripping down locks, reading the disks, re-keying it and re-building it, including tibbe locks and edge locks. You will then learn how to use a number of different Keyline cutting machines, as well as learning how to site read a variety of different manufacturers edge keys and cut a duplicate key. You will then move on to cloning, also including ID48 and ID46, before learning basic methods of vehicle entry and how to gain non-destructive entry to vehicles using basic entry tools including air bags and long reach tools and button grabbing tools, hand picks and hand rakes, jiggler keys and try out keys, overlifters, inner groove picks and basic tibbe lock tools.

Thursday and Friday Days 4 and 5:

Module 2: Genuine Lishi Picking and Decoding
The 2 day Genuine Lishi course is designed to teach you how to pick and decode a number of different Lishi 2 in 1, 3 in 1 and direct reader tools. You will be practising on a number of different live vehicles and training locks including SIP22, HU83, HU66, VA2, HU46, NSN14, HU92, TOY47, HU100 and HU101.

Saturday Day 6:

Module 3: Advanced Genuine Lishi Picking and Decoding
The 1 day advanced Genuine Lishi course is designed to teach you how to use Lishi picks on a number of more complex locks, including HU64, HY22 and VA6 4 Lifter. You will also concentrate on the new 2015 VAG locks for VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda, learning how to identify these locks, how to site read and decode the keys, as well as understanding the relationship between the side cuts and the conventional cuts on the 8 cut, 9 cut and 10 cut locks.

Sunday Day 7:

Module 4: KeyDIY, KD900 and Truecode Programming
The 1 day KD900 and Truecode training course looks at the stock saving KD900 tool (in order to carry just 1 remote key for every job you may be called to would mean carrying over 200 remotes in stock, this is a significant investment. The KD900 allows you to carry just a few remotes in stock that can be coded to be over 100 different remotes you may see, so reduces the stock investment needed). You will then move on to using the superb Truecode programming system to code keys via OBD diagnostically with the Truecode system. A number of makes and models will be covered, where you will cut keys, plug in to various car OBD ports and code new keys to the cars.

Monday Day 8:

Module 5: Tango and SuperVAG OBD Programming
The 1 day SuperVAG training course first looks a programming keys via OBD using a Golf MK4, Golf MK5 and Seat Ibiza. You will then learn how to programme keys in a lost key situation where OBD programming is not available, which includes using Tango. You will then move on to learning how to correct the mileage in the vehicle so it can be changed after a clock swap.

Full payment for the course is due 28 days before the course start date. Deposits are non refundable.
If a course booking is cancelled by the purchaser or transferred to a different course, the following fees will be payable:

Within 5 clear working days of the course start: 100% of charge payable
6 to 10 clear working days of the course start: 25% refund
11 to 28 clear working days of the course start: 33% refund
Greater than 29 clear working days of the course start: Full refund (minus 50% deposit) if you have paid the full amount

In the event of a delegate non-attendance the full fee will be payable.

**NCFE Accrediation Details

Our course has been accredited by NCFE, an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualification Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation).

This is an unregulated product and is not a nationally recognised qualification, but instead has been developed by us to meet the specific requirements of our learners.

 

This programme has been accredited as a 8 day auto locksmith course and we have benchmarked the course’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at Level 3 (using a national framework’s level descriptors) to allow you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study.

 

On completion of the 8 day auto locksmith course, learners will receive a certificate of achievement. The certificate is evidence of the knowledge and skills gained by completing the course. This unregulated product has been accredited by NCFE under the 8 day auto locksmith course and the certificate of achievement will be issued directly by NCFE.
