ebbo
Hi I've got a Yale lock with a loose snib. Any ideas how to stop it falling out? It's like the pin/plug part of the snib is just not girthy enough to grip the sides of the housing. I've tried gluing it in but that didn't work particularly well. There's not really enough material poking through to do what I want to do - hacksaw a cross into the top and try to splay the pin/plug .
grahamparker
Buy a new one, get the Asec case only from Aldridges or a Yale genuine case only if you can afford a bank loan. MarkD
MarkD
As above or someone is going to get locked out.
DC77
As above, either replace or remove all of the snib and the internal sliding spring. I had one last week, the snib had come of the front (or is that the back) allowing the internal spring to stop the handle from turning or the key from opening the latch.
