Mercedes Sprinter 2015 key

Mercedes Sprinter 2015 key with number 2 on it, chip inside ID46 PhillipsCrypto.

Is anybody seen/done this key (Silca GTI maybe)

Not seen one of those on an ID46 before but see no reason why the GTI wont do it.

never seen that before , all the ones I've had were either ID11 or ID13.

You should be able to clone it to a GTI. But i doubt it will fit a standard YM15 key , as these are made for the smaller chips

Easy fit. Drop the chip in with a small bit of blu-tack the cut the holder so only a small portion is left and seal up. done this with plenty of other key blanks over the years.

 

I have just made this one up to show it can be done, it is tight but works a treat i would use a littl blob of super glue on the insert to stop it falling out.

Are you sure as the Sprinter went to an electronic key on 2006 models and i have a 2015 and it still has the electronic key. Maybe this is the USA built Sprinter which does use a ID46 key.

I think it uses the eis in the back but keyed on the front like the VW crafter.

I would be interested if you can to get a scan of the EIS and the key.
