Manila
Hi all, Anyone out there can advise on a returned pair of shoes, which, after repair, customer insists is now squeaking. Any ideas where to start without taking the whole repair apart? Many thanks.
mathews
Soak them in water and let them dry out.
chrisorros
Manila are the shoes ladies or gents? What sort of repair was done to the shoes?
Manila
They were ladies, fairly high heel and a leather sole was put on. Thanks for reply....
keithm
Sounds like the shanks moving!
Manila
Doesn't seem to be the shank tho. More where the ball of the foot bends. Drives me potty when you do a perfectly good repair, doing nothing different than you've done a thousand times over, and you then have to try and diagnose these things. kobblers
Flash
My guess is the leather sole rubbing on the insole when flexed, try lifting the insole slightly and puffing a little talc powder between insole and sole that should resolve the problem.
