bumble
Hi can you help? A customer brought me a front door cylinder UAP and a back door cylinder UAP blank for me to copy. I used a hd uap1 but on the front door they won't work,so I tried a genuine UAP which now won't fit in the lock. I've also tried a hd er6 but to no avail. I also cut spare keys on my test locks and they work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong please.?
grahamparker
Try Silca ULO54 making sure the length is the same, we have genuine blanks that won't fit either but the BS logo is a lot smaller on the new blanks so maybe the profile has changed. SteelCityShoes
We had a few problems with Silca UAP keys, birch sent us UL064 to try instead and none came back. I now use HD keys but I haven't been using them for long enough to comment on their reliability for the UAP blank. If even a universal is too thick, Davenport sell a UL1/2 slim. This is assuming it's the same profile as a standard UAP. Maybe some pictures would help if not.
