Stanley Mishap
I know this has been touched on before ..... A woman brings in a one sided detached handle on an expensive suitcase - I fixed it while you wait with a small nut and bolt - she's over the moon gives me a tenner - I'm over the moon ! ....she's been to 3 other 'repairers' in this area , all said it's not possible .... ....come on what's wrong with people in this trade ? SteelCityShoes
I never say something isn't possible, I may not always have the equipment or the time to do it but if that's the case I'll almost always recommend another independent shop who can do it. Pretty much what I do. Personally I don't have a selection of nuts and bolts in my shop, never needed them in twenty years, not going to get them on the off chance one customer might need them. x minit uk
75% of shoe repairers are to scared to work outside of the box. Stanley Mishap
Flash
There is a limit to what can be done, to repair some large items takes a lot of room, we don't all have the necessary space. I have been asked to weld a pushchair, repair a pair of specs, and do I sell cabbages!! "WHY NOT" There is a limit surely.
