Lee
Whats the retail price for a Yale Superior key (on a genuine blank) I've just cut my first one today & charged £12 customer just seemed pleased to get one, but I think looking at the price of the locks afterwards it was a bit steep? thoughts.. Michael
I charge £15 for the old blue top Garrison so would imagine £15-£20 I would be charging. Not got the cutters and tracers yet for my Silca Matrix SX as not been asked for any, but may have to purchase ready for the influx!!!
abababa
£14.50 for one, £25 for two, £30 for three.. I always offer a cylinder change as it going to be cheaper long term but most go for the keys

grahamparker
The locks have been sold as high security locks so the keys have to be expensive But none of those keys mentioned are restricted and all can be bought online for less than £5 + postage so why do they need to be expensive ?. x minit uk
Lock Stock
But none of those keys mentioned are restricted and all can be bought online for less than £5 + postage so why do they need to be expensive ?. Because the Jaw for the Triax is over a Grand + Cutters etc. I'm not a online so why should I do it for a couple of quid. That like saying because I've got a Idea as well I should make a lost key to 110 for normal price because now made so easy for me. Its about the service and what the job worth & not being the cheapest. There always someone cheaper you shouldn't devalue you self or the product Whats the retail price for a Yale Superior key (on a genuine blank) I've just cut my first one today & charged £12 customer just seemed pleased to get one, but I think looking at the price of the locks afterwards it was a bit steep? thoughts.. Lee Lee don't use the genuine blanks. They are a really cheap hard steel and eat cutters like no ones business. Need a key with brass in like Silca, KeyLine or JMA. hibsjo(SCO), Auto Key Wizard and I love Keys

Broms Cobb
where do we get them 'branded'? price - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yale-Superior-Magnum-Everest-Keys-Cut-to-Code-Signed-for-Delivery-Included-/232066170200?hash=item360838bd58:g:1CsAAOSwOVpXcoaq
Auto Key Wizard
We are giving these keys away for free at present, but we are currently out of stock. When in stock we charge 20 for first one and 15 there after. Why everyone races to the bottom I will never know. I agree with Warren, Why do they want to be the cheapest? I want to be the most expensive. Lock Stock and hakeemz
hibsjo(SCO)
why would you offer a lock change on this, the locks are a plenty as are the keys i can see the point if it was obscure or obsolete. it is a security lock/cylinder(of sorts) so why would you offer to change the lock unless your changing for one of your own security locks and blanks carry on! kobblers

Michael
Forgot to ask...what angle are the dimples cut on the Yale Superior please? Which way round should I cut, dimple first or track, or doesn't matter?
grahamparker
14 degree angle. When i cut these on the magnum the cutter already in the machine decided which would be cut first. My shiny new R4 jaw finally showed up this morning so now cutting them on the Triax is a doddle.
LockandKey
We charge £4.95 inc vat on genuine blanks but nothing wrong with charging £10+ while you wait, afterall the machines are not cheap. If you want value for money buy the carbide cutters W prefix - they last a very long time but the snake cutter obviously burns faster than the dimple - approx 5-1 ratio Lock Stock
