acewoodturner
I have only got one key for my o4 plate vivaro and when I got it a couple of years ago it was kind of falling to bits. Anyway, recently the bit that covers the unlock switch fell off and unbeknown to me the white circular bit of plastic which was on top of the electronics part fell out. I ordered a new key fob off ebay and reassembled the key. However I can only lock the van using the remote and have to use the key in the lock. Its a pain in the arse any any passenger wishing to get in has to wait whilst I jump into the van and them stick the key in the ignition before I press the dash switch to open all the doors. I was unaware that this little bit of plastic would fall out and is needed. My local auto locksmith has quoted me about 80 quid for a new key which is not needed and the ebay suppliers only sell the shell. I dont want a whole key just now and would probably order a complete new one in a few months. I have the proper codes etc from Vauxhall for when I need them and would get the key from my local guy rather than a dodgy ebay seller. Can anyone help me out with this bit. I can get the dimensions tomorrow when in the workshop and have access to digital callipers to get an accurate size. cheers Mike
