keysinthecity
Anybody got any tips? The key "won't go in the lock" but measures the same width with a vernier. (SKS have cut it for us.)
grahamparker
Is it the correct blank used ?.
damen.rudi
What blank have they used? I had a few months ago an Iseo keyblank from Borkey that couldn't fit into the lock. Obviously a small difference in the measurements.
keysinthecity
They used JMA IS14D.
damen.rudi
Try a new JMA or Silca blank into the cilinder. It will not turn but when neither of them fits into the cilinder then there is a problem with the cilinder. After the Borkey lesson I work only with Silca. Have had the same problem with an Abus profile with JMA.
Flash
Either the wrong blank used, or, key cut wrong. The two keys appear to be totally different to me.
Lee
And it looks like lots of burs on it to me.

keysinthecity
Is it the correct blank used ?. Graham - would you be up for re-cutting the key for us (paid, of course)? If yours works (presumably on a different blank) I'll then ask SKS for a refund.
EST
JMA IS-10 Silca IE26 or lock pins maybe jammed, little bit oil needed Growster
Mick Friend
OIL? OIL? OIL? arrrghhhhh OIL? a dry lubricant is what is needed- WD40 will work for a while but it is mostly for moisture repelling- a quick spray will lubricate the pins which if dry may not slip in easy- we all know that problem did you really say OIL? keysinthecity
No point re-cutting the blank looks wrong to me. Give SKS the opportunity to sort it they are usually pretty good. They would be on their third chance to re-cut it. And in some ways fourth because I have just queried the choice of blank with them and they say it's correct. I've put all the keys side by side in an image....
grahamparker
Do you have the key code at all. ?
keysinthecity
Do you have the key code at all. ? All I have is the code from M Marcus on the verso side of the key. Is this what you mean? There isn't a card. I've called M Marcus, it's restricted, and the owner of the key block wants £18 for a copy. If you did mean the laser etched info from the verso I can send it in a PM.
grahamparker
Just had a look and a lot of the Iseo cards are locked. Pay the £18.00 and get a key that fits. I have just recently ordered some BKS keys through Aldridges that cost me £28.77 + £15.00 carriage + vat.

The key on the far left may be the same blank as the key on the far right, but it seems to have been cut wrongly to me.
Lock Stock
There are a mastered cylinder system done by M.Marcus. It's based on the R11 but a differ blank. You can use Silca IE26 and decode under R11-MK, just double check the decode doesn't always pick up the 0 cuts hibsjo(SCO)
