Keyed alike mortice locks

We have a customer looking for 3 narrow mortice locks that are keyed alike, with a British standard kite mark, can anyone help?

It depends on how narrow?

 

There aren't any 2" locks with kite marks any more because of bolt throw needed in the current standard. But there are locks that insurance companies will except as suitable.

If the real truth doesn't matter that much, you could try the 3G220, 38mm backset:

The text at least mentions BS3621. It takes a standard lever pack and is easy to key alike..

We've had a chat with a local locksmith who says that if we get some of these he'll come in and re-lever them.

 

As SKS actually sell these we're surprised that they didn't offer to do that for us. Surely they must have someone n site who could.

 

Just waiting to hear back from the customer when he's recovered from being told the cost.

The 3G220 in no longer BS (as of 2004)

 

Yes its has 20mm bolt but failed the test on side load pressure to the bolt.
