Paul_
I've just rang them again and they are out of stock. Just been told that the guys who used to make them are no longer doing so. Looks like they are no longer available.
Michael
I think I had some from Algeos but I looked for you and they seem to be out of stock as well, although they do sell hogs bristles and waxed thread so you could make your own!!!! keithm
The Company that made them did go out of business and the last I heard was that Robin Healey was looking for alternatives. Paul_

Paul_
I can send you a couple if you're stuck Paul. I would love a couple to be honest. I've got 2 pairs of re-welts to do that I've been sat on for ages while wondering who to get wax twins from. I'll PM you my address. I don't mind what you want to do regarding payment, send a bill and i'll pay you up front, send it with the thread and i'll send it by return or i'll make a donation to the charity. whatever suits you. Thanks for your help.
Gray
Don't want payment...........I'm not here to gain from forum members......We are here to help each other...........As a side note on wax twins the fraying of the metal bristles has always been an issue........Earlier because of this topic I tried something..............I heated up the end of the bristle with a lighter and applied some multicore solder..........It seemed to seal the ends......Don't know if it will help or not........Also have a look at this for my mate elfmans tips....... http://shoerepairer.info/topic/15630-wax-twins/?hl=%2Bwax+%2Btwins Paul_, Stormwelt, grahamparker and 1 other

Stormwelt
Wax twins were always a pain. I used to use waxed thread and flexible needles. Does anyone remember them? You could bend them any which way. Unfortunately they vanished when I was on holiday and have never been able to replace them. Does anyone know where you can get them these days? Count Muppet
Not sure if they have disappeared from existence but we had a notice from hq to return all we had in branch to our workshop as they couldn't get hold of any.

Stormwelt
Thanks Michael. I have them too but not really effective when rewelting.. I tend to use curved sailmakers needles now.
