Years ago we had a machine called a smartclone in fact I might still have it, it was used for Keyline battery heads I think it only had very limited capabilities, if memory serves me correct we only used to be able to use it to clone 4c chips

But our problem was that the battery heads kept coming back all run down and had stopped working, (Usually after 6 months-2 years) this is why we stopped using these types of keys in the past, my question is are modern day battery heads any more reliable than they were in the early days???

Obviously like most people on here I'm looking at upgrading our current cloners and just deciding which option is for us.

We currently have an old JMA Trs-5000 with the TPH and TPX boxes but I think JMA appear to be a little behind Silca and Keyline given these recent developments

any info on the recent batteries folks?

Keyline electronic heads are batteryless, everlasting, since 2010. have a nice christmas to all

how?  behind keyline. yes. But very equal with silca I think.

What have silca done but take money on promises because they know keyline are ready to sell working things  months before them.

They appear to be behind Keyline and Silca because Keyline already have a product on the market that does ID48 and Silca are currently taking orders for an ID48 solution.

JMA on the other hand have not yet advertised a solution (The first ive heard was earlier in this thread) I cant find anything else online regarding a solution from JMA and when I asked in October SKS said developments happen all the time but nothing is nearing completion yet.

This is why they "Appear" to be behind the other 2

ill do some ringing round in the New Year to be honest I want to stick with what we are currently stocked up with (JMA) but this will mean a new TRS EVO and upgrade - fingers crossed they produce something quickly

Those that pre-order get a 25% discount on the retail price which should compensate for any lost interest.

Matt,

Pre-ordered mine when first announced.

Does the M-Box integrate the P-Box functionality, so you only need the new "sniffer" to cover both ID46 and ID48. or does it bolt under the P-Box?

Regards

I'm not sure this keyline "love in season" is as good as every one is letting on a big point has not been spoke about.

I would say company with the biggest balls but not as far ahead as everyone making out. Everyone been around the 48 chip for a while. If you at how the Super VAG works with the Miraclone its the same thing as cloning. All they have done is released there's first. The trouble with the Keyline solution is it use heads and most VAG group vehicles need remote. Not all but most as its the lower spec cars which don't have alarms. So yes it can clone 95% of the chips but only for low spec cars.

Its great some has done it and now people will follow. But no one seems to have pointed out that you need remote keys for most cars.

For whoever is interested, Keyline launched Glass cloning chips for 884 Decryptor Ultegra and 884-Mini.

GKM and GK100 are the new glass chips from the Micro Series.

GKM* for cloning keys with Megamos® Crypto (ID48) and Megamos® fixed code transponders.

GK100 for cloning keys with Philips® Crypto (ID46), Texas® Crypto (4D) and Texas® fixed code (4C) transponders.

GKM and GK100 perfectly fit into Pod Keys and Keyline TKXXGE heads equipped with the proper adaptor. Keyline have more than 100 pod keys references available.

To clone Megamos® Crypto transponders with GKM it is necessary to activate your 884 Decryptor Mini and 884 Decryptor Ultegra with the TKM. Xtreme Kit.

GKM and GK100 are rewritable and batteryless as they work through inductive coupling with the car's control unit.

Too be fair, most of these keys are purchased as a spare for use if the main key is lost. The great thing about VAG is that once the key is placed in the ignition and turned to the on position the alarm is disarmed. You even get 5-10 seconds before the alarm will sound. Not a problem if explained to the customer in advance. Otherwise, if remotes are needed then a diagnostic solution is available for most vehicles.

This is a positive release from keyline responding to comments on this and other forums of users not liking the tk heads and wanting a small chip solution , so they have responded by releasing a small chip solution that fits in pod keys and into oem remote keys as this is what users have said they wanted .

they were first to release full id48 cloning , and are also the 1st to release a small chip solution so we can use the clone chip in a pod key or a remote key , credit where its due , that is an impressive release and another 1st , and as it stands today keyline are the only cloner that have full id48 cloning and the only ones to have this to a chip that fits in pod keys and remotes .

hats off to them for listening to their customers and doing what was asked of them , they cant do much more than that .
