Mike at Vauxhall
Something I must do probably twice a month is fitting a new strap on skagen watches. Rather than turning custom away and directing them to the manufacturer. It is easy to just compress the tube ending , using a vice or pliers, so the strap will slide into the space then screw into place. I find this will only work with thin unstitched straps. ( 605 condor or hirsch/marcco fashion straps.)
Lee
although pricey you can get a lot of genuine straps from these people:- http://www.bablas.co.uk/watch-straps.htmland although most of what they do you can get trade I find them so reliable & quick they tend to be my first port of call. especially on the casio straps, I just add a cut on top & most people are happy. Mike at Vauxhall
I often redirect customers to bablas.co. especially for specific diesel straps. They do offer a good service. The customer then brings it to me for fitting. Money goes to charity.
Lee
I don't redirect. I get the price, give the customer MY price & its up to them. I do enough for charity without giving my knowledge away to the very people I'm trying to earn a living out off.
