Growster
The Evva DPS range of locks left patent protection a few years ago. It appears the Easy Entrie thinks these blanks are too thick. Where do I get copies from, if I don't want to buy them from the dealer, who is in charge of the section? The sidebar pips on the side of the key are probably easy to emulate, but the blank doesn't seem to be that easy. Should I perhaps not be asking this question here, or anywhere? Craig Gardner
These are normally used as locksmiths own profile and as such we do not duplicate them for that reason how would like it if you had over the years spent thousands extra buying locks with your profile only for someone else come alnong and butcher up keys to fit it. Thats why I don't copy these Craig

slippy
I've had an easy entry key brought in on an old section. Refused to copy it. Told him to bring in a proper key or go back to the scum who made it. If it was still protected I would've snapped it. I have other local locksmiths secure sections and they have mine. Just incase we're not around at the time and ring each other to ensure its ok to copy.
Growster
I have also found our own DPS section done as Easy Entrie copy. I was unemotional at the time, as these keys are indeed out of copy protection. That doesn't mean I disagree with any previous comment. It is just that some dealers are people whom you'd be reluctant to give your credit card details to. That is less often the case with Evva DPS dealers, but more with Grundmann and Anker resellers.. We have our own DPS section - not aware of anyone using easy entrie on it, but I guess we would never know, but we have used it for over 15 years! We moved to a few new patent profiles with Schlage and Tigris with another 10-15 year protection. However if someone asks for DPS keys we would just ask if the original supplier is still active - we are not interested in easy entrie to blag £20. Reverse scenario - disabled children 'liberty swing' a special swing made for kids in wheel chairs. cost approx £2,000 for the swing - Australian manufacturer and no interest in key support for the UK schools that invested in this item. The school tried many times to get more keys - shut the swing down, no keys...... yes we sorted it out with easi entry, kids happy. Evva profile....
